August 2026
While the business saw some catch-up from ESA funding, purchases shifted to the beginning of the month rather than the summer months. This increase in technology purchases, along with full-teacher wages, caused another dip in reserve funding.
The revenue increase reflects July actuals being realized in August due to ESA funding delays.
Risk to the Business:
21% of the student population is awaiting ESA funding, which caused another month of drawing on school reserves and increasing our deficit for the fiscal year.
August was another non-paid advertising month, but organic posting and word-of-mouth have increased potential student acquisition.
Outlook:
- Fundraising campaigns are gaining traction.
- Contract labor will decrease as we are fully staffed for the year.
- September ESA funding should be higher than expected as all students become fully funded and demand continues to increase.
Year-to-date (Profit/Loss): -$6,868
