We’re bringing together the people who believe in the long-term impact of youth sports.
Join us for a night of celebration and future growth as we look to build the next phase of Academy 48: our Development and Wellness Center. This building will be the home of Academy 48 student-athletes, a place for Nelson University Athletes to train and develop, and a place other non-profits can call home.
We’ve proven the model. Now we’re building the home it deserves.
Currently, Academy 48 trains champions without a permanent training facility. The A48 Development & Wellness Center changes that with a 30,000-square-foot indoor academy built for the Arizona desert and the first piece of a bigger vision that impacts thousands of local youth athletes.
Permanent classrooms
A real academic home built for learning. This will become the hub for our student-athletes’ education.
Indoor Performance Area
No more offseason; the performance center will provide year-round training for student-athletes
A full basketball court
Expanding the sports we offer and making a bigger impact for our incoming high school athletes.
Conference rooms and offices
A much-needed area for our teachers and staff. This will be the hub of growth for Academy 48.
A place for a unique partnership
Our collegiate academic partner (Nelson University), whose student-athletes will train and study here alongside ours.
A Community Hub
After hours, the Community and Wellness Center will host like-minded nonprofits, pushing the vision further with strategic partnerships.
What it takes
$500K
A frightening trend is emerging in youth sports. Club sports and pay-to-play are no longer enough for our student-athletes. The new trend is $30,000+ a year at private sports academies that promise D1 scholarships that don’t exist. Academy 48 began addressing this trend with our tuition-free sports academy.
The A48 Development Center costs $500,000 to build. The impact on the future of youth sports is endless.
The Clock Starts Now
We break ground on January 1
This isn’t a someday project. We intend to break ground on the first of the year — so our athletes have a place to train by this summer.
Every gift committed before and during the dinner goes directly toward that groundbreaking. The families who believe in this school have already raised $12,000+ toward the goal — our students, our parents, and our coaches, dollar by dollar. Let’s finish the job.
Legacy Opportunity
Name the building.
Leave a legacy.
For the donor or company that fully funds the center, this building carries your name, your legacy, your commitment to building leaders in the community.
Your family, your company, or in honor of someone who shaped or inspired you. The A48 Development and Wellness Center becomes a permanent mark on a place that will develop thousands of Arizona kids for decades. Named recognition throughout the facility, at every event it hosts, and in the story of how Academy 48 helped build the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and athletes.
Academy 48 is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. (Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation.)
